Suspension of all small and large group activities at Lamor campus – effective March 17, 2020

Dear friends,

Based on prayerful consideration and the recent recommendations and advisories from both the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and from Pennsylvania's Governor Wolf announced on Monday (3/16/20), Grace Chapel Community Church is suspending all onsite small and large group activities at our Lamor campus effective immediately. We will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions on a week-to-week basis.

This is in the best interest of all involved. We appreciate everyone connecting with us this past Sunday morning on Facebook Live so we could have church together! We are also grateful for many who have reached out offering to help others in need. We still know that no matter what happens, we can be comforted knowing that God is in control and Jesus holds all authority and power on earth and in heaven. POW!

Let’s not forget during a time like this, we are still the church, regardless if we have a building to meet in or not. You may be thinking:

"What are some steps we can take to shift the focus from ourselves and this pandemic to care for others?"

  • Check on an elderly neighbor

  • Make a phone call to someone in your small group

  • Share encouraging words with others

  • Spend time together as a family

  • Read the Bible together or pray together

Going forward, here's what is happening and how we can stay connected:

This weekend, we will again ONLY stream our service Sunday (3/22) @ 10:00 AM via Facebook Live. We will continue our fourth week in the series “Truly I Tell You” from John 5, starting with verse 31. Please plan to once again watch from home in your pajamas! We will have a small time of worship, prayer, announcements, and teaching. Feel free to interact and participate like you normally do— we love to see your comments! A video of the service will also be available on YouTube Monday if you are unable to participate in the live event or do not have Facebook.

Please continue to email us at info@grace-chapel.net with any questions, prayer requests, or concerns. Our staff will continue to meet and respond the best we are able to during this time. Grace Chapel considers the health and well-being of our congregation to be of utmost importance and will continue to provide necessary updates to via email, our app, text, website, and social media.

Please know that we, as a church staff, continue to pray for our congregation and cannot wait until we can physically gather as the body of Christ once again.

Prayerfully,

Aaron Lego

Lead Pastor
